...Author: Saoirse O'Mara
Cover Illustrator: Svenja Liv
Genre: Fantasy/Mystery
Target Group: Children and YA

Teaser/Description:
You never know when you might end up on the other side of the law….
Govin had no clue know how much his life would change when he signed up for the City Guard in Davon. A fateful meeting throws him into an adventure he would never have imagined, not even in his wildest dreams, and he is left to fix the mess once known as his life. And if that weren’t enough, there is still a cunning thief to catch….
Bardon put the quill down and scrutinised his work. The sketch showed a young girl with untidy hair, smart eyes and a cute little nose.
‘A pretty girl,’ he remarked. ‘Too bad she's a thief. She might've grown up to become a beauty, but I doubt she'll live long enough. The streets are rough, and the prison's even rougher.’
Govin felt a pang of guilt.

Indie Authors Gather to write Anthologies Circle 8 Writers
I have been with the Circle 8 Writers, since the email
from founding member Angel Sharum came into my e-box in June of 2010. Angel’s plan was simple, gather some writers
and write a themed book. I am so glad she enjoyed the short stories I wrote and
asked me to become a member.
Other friends joined us, and we put together our first
book in a matter of months. What a thrill it was to see our first book Consequences
for sale on Amazon in both eBook and print version. Although it was not planned to be a late
birthday present for me, when it published on September 17, 2010 that is how I
saw it.
The theme of the book is the consequences in life we all
face when we make decisions. That book
contained my very first published short story ‘The Replacement”. I am so proud
of it, and years later it still brings a smile to my face.
We were thrilled with our first book so we made it a rock solid group and we began writing in earnest. Although some writers have left, more have joined to help create more anthologies.
Consequences
Crime and Punishment was our second collection of short stories and poems and
it came out in October of 2010. I was so thrilled to have 3 short stories in
this one. Yes, some people do get away
with murder in this book.
Our third book was Dark
Christmas the theme for this anthology was a dark and twisted Christmas. My fellow indie authors and I came up with several
short stories and poems that have a hint of evil within. It was released on Black
Friday 2010.
The fourth short
story anthology we released in February 2011 was titled Roses
and Thorns. The
theme of this book is love, at its best and it worst.
Our fifth collection of twisted short stories is Mothers
and Other Strangers. All of these stories and poems have a family theme to
them. It was published in July of 2011.
Apocryphilia
was our sixth anthology. It was published in October 2011. In this collection of
short stories and poems you will find several tales which will tickle your
spine and keep you awake at night. This
by far is our biggest collection.
I am proud to announce that the seventh book by the
Circle 8 Writers group will be published in the summer of 2012. Fans that
have been with us since the early days of the group will not be disappointed.Bipolar Marriage eBook by Alice Madison Young
‘I love you
I hate you; a Bipolar Marriage’ by Alice Madison Young is a great eBook for
anyone who is in a relationship with a bipolar patient.
What I
really liked about this book was how Alice gave us a personal glimpse into what
it’s like to live in a bipolar marriage. I was the wife of a bipolar patient
and life was not easy by any means. Technically we are still married but have
been separated for years.
Anyways
Alice Madison Young shares what it was like living with her manic depressive
husband. This is a true account of the life, sometimes good and sometimes bad
that one lives through in this type of marriage.
She describes
how the symptom of the mental health disorder wreaked havoc on her marriage.
Her husband was a rapid cycler which means he could change his mood from one
minute to the next.
When she
describes the time she had to call 911 for her safety because he was cycling,
it brought back terrifying memories of my own. That 2002 incident, as she
recalled it made me feel so badly for her. Her telling of his first breakdown
in 2000 , shows just how easily a mental breakdown can occur within a bipolar
episode.
I highly
recommend ‘I love you I hate you; a Bipolar Marriage’ by Alice Madison Young
and you can purchase it on Amazon. For $2.99, it is a great read for anyone who
may be living the life.
Bad Stuff-- Few typos but otherwise a solid useful book.

Introducing Indie Authors & Books Blog
There is one
thing that Indie Authors cannot get enough of and that is enough promotion for
their eBooks. This blog will help to ease that problem.
You will
read full descriptions on the books, written by one of the independent reviewers
on this site. By full descriptions, I
mean at least 200 words of the juicy details.
Not only will
the potential customers see what is good with your book, they will also see the
downfalls. We promise not to be harsh
but if there are formatting issues we need to tell the customers as that is
truth in advertising.
To make
these reviews show up in the search engines so that we can help indie authors
the review has to be lengthy. The lengthy
review also gives the potential buyers a better feel of the eBook. All eBooks
will be tagged so they are easily searchable to viewers of this website.
If you would
like your self-published book reviewed on this blog, we require a free copy. Simply
add a comment to this post and one of us will contact you. We look forward to
working with you.
Imagine that
a blog that gives a scoop on Indie Authors and their eBooks and it directly benefits
them in the way it should.
